Gonesse Is Not Just About Air France 4590

When the wife and the choir went to sing in Gonesse in the North of Paris, a stone’s throw from  Charles de Gaulle Airport, I wasn’t too excited.

Yet, I discovered a very old — derelict and in the process of rehabilitation — small village with aircraft flying low above houses (It happened during the Paris Bourget international airshow).

The Church is quite beautiful though. And the light caught through stained glass, very compelling.

I couldn’t take my lenses off it.

One could even make an abstract painting from this.

I also focused on the music. Gonesse is best known for being the place where Concorde flight AF 4590 crashed in July 2000. I discovered it was well worth a visit in spite of that.
