Beached Whale

There she was on the landing beaches of Normandy, protected from the wind. Martin Parresque, her swimming costume barely concealing her genitalia. Into the bargain, it wasn’t that warm on that day. Ouistreham. August 2014.

Landing Beaches (Sword Beach)

So beautiful and so peaceful now; imagine that beach on June 6th, 1944, some 70 years ago, with “an invasion fleet from eight different navies, comprising 6,939 vessels: 1,213 warships, 4,126 landing craft of various types, 736 ancillary craft, and 864 merchant vessels.
