Bibesco (aka <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Marthe_Bibesco\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Martha Bibescu<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The book is a bit hard to find, though. Etonians might get it from the <a href=\"https:\/\/catalogue.etoncollege.com\/B22200\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">school\u2019s library<\/a>. It can also be bought from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abebooks.com\/servlet\/BookDetailsPL?bi=1372858870\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AbeBooks<\/a>. They are a symbol of the \u201creturn from Egypt\u201d as it\u2019s called, following the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/French_campaign_in_Egypt_and_Syria\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">French campaign in Egypt and Syria<\/a>\u00a0which ended up in the Abukir\u00a01799 debacle (from Napoleon\u2019s point of view).<\/p>\n<p>For a reminder of the number of deaths and casualties <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Battle_of_the_Nile\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">check here<\/a>. meaning \u201ctrifles\u201d, or from the Italian \u201cbagatella\u201d: \u201cjuggler trick\u201d. Bagatelles are objects or opinions of little value (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.merriam-webster.com\/dictionary\/bagatelle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mere trifles<\/a>).
