It is now famous for the <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.angloinfo.com\/art-in-paris\/2012\/04\/10\/daniel-burens-les-deux-plateaux-at-the-palais-royal\/\">Buren Columns which were installed in 1986<\/a>. At first, there was an public outcry against this work of Art which was deemed sacrilegious. Eventually, it became so successful that most people go to Palais Royal now to see the columns and not the Palais Royal itself. It\u2019s not only ironic I believe, it is very symptomatic of how people react to change.
