A beautiful place, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atlasobscura.com\/places\/le-jardin-d-agronomie-tropicale\">and a curiosity<\/a>, yet in a sorry state. Here is this week\u2019s selection for <a href=\"https:\/\/dailypost.wordpress.com\/dp_photo_challenge\/something-broken\/\">\u201cbroken\u201d, the Friday photo challenge<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bois_de_Vincennes\">For the history of the garden check Wikipedia at this address<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apur.org\/en\/study\/tropical-agronomy-garden-jardin-agronomie-tropicale-bois-vincennes-woods-plans-evolving-site\">APUR Website for a hypothetical plan regarding the future of that place<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"View 'antimuseum.com-JAT-4501' on Flickr.com\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/yag\/12884699224\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"antimuseum.com-JAT-4501\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3818\/12884699224_a03d6e2445_z.jpg?resize=640%2C428&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"antimuseum.com-JAT-4501\" width=\"640\" height=\"428\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Oriental gate at the entrance of the garden (probably from Vietnam) is undoubtedly broken. It is made of the remnants of the colonial exhibition of 1907. Some of the pieces are extremely beautiful and very picturesque.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"View 'antimuseum.com-JAT-4517' on Flickr.com\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/yag\/12884756324\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"antimuseum.com-JAT-4517\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7375\/12884756324_1ef46f11a5_z.jpg?resize=640%2C428&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"antimuseum.com-JAT-4517\" width=\"640\" height=\"428\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Tunisian pavilion is all broken too. A modern artist has decorated the windows with wooden installations. This garden is almost unknown and deserted despite its beauty and architectural value. At the same time, I must admit that broken buildings make up for very interesting photography. Well, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed taking them anyway. I took these pictures last year after I sprained my ankle very badly and I was walking around on crutches. As a result, they aren\u2019t as good as I wanted them to be, and I believe that I would have to get back there one day and start all over again.
