Waiting was yesterday\u2019s Friday challenge theme<\/a>. We stood waiting in the queue for the 3rd \u201cGrand Antique d\u2019Aubert\u00ae\u201d marble 2017 symposium<\/a> organised by Italian marble excavation company Escavamar<\/a> from Carrare<\/a>. The show – we\u2019ll get back to that in a forthcoming post – had not yet begun and I took this opportunity to shoot the candlelit footpath that went into the quarry and led to the beautiful and humongous black marble slabs carved out from the mountain.<\/p>\n
