I must admit that I was pretty much dispirited when I spotted the news \u2014 somewhat belatedly \u2014 that the challenge was now over and that there would be no more postings. It&#8217;s a bit sad but we&#8217;ll move on and this blog will certainly not stop here.<\/p>\n<h2>All-Time Favourite And Farewell Pic To Friday Photo Challenge<\/h2>\n<p>As the editors&#8217; challenge was &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailypost.wordpress.com\/photo-challenges\/all-time-favorites\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">all-time favourites<\/a>&#8221; I went back to my files and posted the picture I like most, taken from the thousands of pictures that I have kept on <a href=\"http:\/\/flickr.com\/yag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Flickr<\/a>. I took risks to shoot that picture as I was standing in the middle of the road with my tripod, capturing the moving lights from that bus in Blois, as it was zooming in and turning right towards the town centre.<\/p>\n<p>I have been a long-time fan of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Long-exposure_photography\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">long-exposure photography<\/a> at night, it&#8217;s a brilliant way of seeing things in a different light. I love this picture and the stroll I take every now and often in Blois with my tripod and my Nikon 810 and my favourite 50-year-old Nikkor 35 mm lens.<\/p>\n<p>Goodbye <a href=\"https:\/\/dailypost.wordpress.com\/photo-challenges\/all-time-favorites\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Friday Photo Challenge<\/a> and a million thanks to the people at Automatic who kept it going for so long.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today I finally managed to make time for posting my last and final picture, aka farewell pic, for the Friday Photo Challenge.
