{"id":3913,"date":"2019-04-16T21:55:37","date_gmt":"2019-04-16T19:55:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/antimuseum.com\/?p=3913"},"modified":"2021-12-15T08:09:15","modified_gmt":"2021-12-15T07:09:15","slug":"notre-dame-vintage-shots","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/antimuseum.com\/en\/2019\/04\/16\/notre-dame-vintage-shots\/","title":{"rendered":"Notre Dame de Paris [2012 vintage shots]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here is a series of vintage shots of Notre Dame de Paris from 2012.\u00a0Today, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liberation.fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Liberation&#8217;s<\/a> front page headline read &#8220;Notre Drame de Paris&#8221; (Our Lady\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.liberation.fr\/debats\/2019\/04\/15\/notre-drame-de-paris-catastrophe-nationale_1816364\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Drama of Paris<\/a>).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Let us listen to Auguste Rodin, the sculptor on the Notre-Dame de Paris renovation site: &#8220;I would like to sit at the table of these stonecutters. &#8220;His nostalgia is that of all those who have been brought back to the foot of the cathedrals, as if they were witnesses to what is possible for the human soul: a power to unite, a sacrament of fraternity, a desire for a mystique, a need for the group, to be many, to exist outside of oneself, to be hearts beating together in dedicated places, that which Jules Romains would have recounted on that fateful Monday evening of April 15, 2019, when a president and his prime minister were seen coming to support the French people and dreaming of union in front of Notre-Dame in flames.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>7 years ago, I was circling around the <a href=\"https:\/\/antimuseum.com\/en\/2016\/07\/22\/cathedral-amiens\/\">Cathedral<\/a> with my tripod in order to practice long exposure photography. Here are the results.
