Yet, this <a href=\"https:\/\/antimuseum.com\/en\/2021\/07\/22\/rusted-cross\/\">song<\/a> from the early 1980s has been on my mind ever since and I can\u2019t help thinking of this song whenever I see a selfie being made. I thought it would be slightly ironic too, to make a portrait of a selfieist (selfist?)<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully, this silly habit will die, one day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">They say the working class is dead, we&#8217;re all consumers now<br \/>\nThey say that we have moved ahead \u2013 we&#8217;re all just people now<br \/>\nThere&#8217;s people doing &#8216;frightfully well&#8217; there&#8217;s others on the shelf<br \/>\nBut never mind the second kind this is the age of self<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">And it seems to me if we forget our roots and where we stand<br \/>\nThe movement will disintegrate like castles built on sand<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/genius.com\/Robert-wyatt-the-age-of-self-lyrics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The age of self<\/a> &#8211; Robert Wyatt<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s people doing frightfully well, there&#8217;s others on the shelf, this is the age of Selfies.
