The Comely Girl (B&W)

This sculpture is placed right above the entrance of a beautiful Haussmannian building situated right next to the place where Lady Diana died in Paris (Pont de l'Alma). I love that chubby and welcoming face sculped in Art Nouveau style. July 2013

the art deco clock (b&w)

As I was waiting for the train at the Bordeaux Railway Station, I spotted that beautiful clock. Although the station was completed in 1898, the numbering style on the dial would suggest that the clock is an art deco (1930s) job.

This makes for an abstract picture: the cement dome of St Jean de Montmartre which I described in an earlier post is geometrical and beautiful in the sunshine.
