Why a photography blog, you ask? The answer is straightforward. This blog gives Yann Gourvennec a platform to share his photography work with as wide an audience as possible. But it is more than just a gallery of his latest shots. Each image comes with a proper write-up — sometimes tongue-in-cheek, sometimes simply informative — telling the story behind the picture. Wherever possible, the author, occasionally assisted by a handful of interns (most of them American), does his best to add historical and contextual detail about the places and people that feature in these photographic narratives.
A photo blog by a professional photographer
Yann Gourvennec is not merely an enthusiastic photographer — he is also a professional portrait photographer. You can browse his portrait work on the dedicated page for his photo studio. The studio is based in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, on Rue Desnouettes, and is a space devoted entirely to professional photography, serving both businesses and independent clients.
A wide range of photographic genres
Beyond his portrait work, Yann Gourvennec ventures into a broad range of photographic genres: street photography and urban landscapes, portraits and countryside scenes, as well as still life — all find their place on this blog. Every image has a story to tell, capturing a moment frozen in time by the shutter.
Antimuseum.com — the antimuseum in Paris and beyond — is therefore far more than a photography blog. It is an online gallery, a living showcase for the author’s work and his passion for the medium. A place where every photograph speaks and conveys its own truth. And who knows — perhaps readers will even find in it the spark they need for their own photographic or personal adventure.
Antimuseum is a place where every visitor is invited to share that passion for photography, seen through the eyes of the photographer.
