Enesco Mansion – Bucharest (B&W)
Enesco’s French style mansion in Bucharest is one of the many beauties of that amazing city; far from the cliché of Nicolae Ceaușescu’s nightmarish palace, which can supposedly be spotted by astronauts from the moon. The palace is in a bit of a state though, surrounded by parked cars in various degrees of conservation. Yet, this is one of the most beautifully preserved mansions, and there are quite a few left. Cultural heritage, despite the signs which have been installed in front of each of the listed buildings, isn’t yet a priority in a city which is also becoming a modern one in one of the poorest countries of Europe.
